Some years ago, my late husband Bob and I decided we wanted to take our horses and go see the west. So, we sold our farm in Ohio and most of our belongings, bid our family and friends goodbye, and loaded up our horses to set out on the adventure of a lifetime. We traveled the west, the southwest, and the deep south, riding trails in all the different states we visited. But no place that we went could compare to the Black Hills of South Dakota, and we fell in love with the rugged beauty of this place. We spent some years camp-hosting at several horse camps in the Black Hills area, and finally we decided we wanted to run our own Ranch and Horse Camp. We purchased this small piece of heaven on the outskirts of Custer that borders the Black Hills National Forest and began to make that dream a reality. Sadly, soon after we began to build, Bob’s health took a sudden turn for the worse, and unfortunately, he is no longer with us. Through God’s providence and blessing our mutual good friend and fellow cowboy Phill Randall stepped in and became my rock in the tempest. So, together we carry on this grand adventure, always with mutual fond memories of Bob, whose dash ended too soon. Phill and I have worked very hard to make this dream a reality, and we have decided to make it official; we are getting hitched this summer! We want to welcome you to our little piece of heaven, right here in the Black Hills of South Dakota!
